Day Lily

Any plant or flower of the genus Hemerocallis. They have long narrow basal leaves and orange flowers in summer. They were used as packing material in crates of porcelain china shipped from Asia, The plants then spred into the wild when the packing materials were tossed out. They re presence in the wild state may also indicate the site of an old garden like the one northwest of the Mustill Store.
