TEASEL PHOTO(Dipsacus fullonum) Also called the fuller’s teasel. A flower head of the fuller’s teasel covered with stiff hooked bracts and formerly used, when dried to raise a nap on woolen cloth. They could be placed into a teasel frame to be fixed into position to make contact with the cloth.
